Welcome to Healing Ministries Bible College

We believe Jesus Christ is the truth, the way, and the life.  No one comes to the Father but by Him.  We believe in the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost. We are friends in Christ Jesus inside and outside the church.  We are family oriented.  We believe some of the greatest attributes of a Christian are humility, sincerity, stability, loving people and loving God.

Let me not fall into the hand of man

This cry of David's is my cry too.  As I have watched how my mother was treated when she became feeble in her old age even though she had been kind to so many and my husband has been treated since he became helpless in his old age i realize more and more that I don't want to be placed in the hands of men.  I would rather be a door keeper in the house of my God than to be placed in anyone hands.  I was thinking of King David in the last few days of how he too said to the Lord (1Ch 21:13 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man.)  It doesn't seem to matter to whom hands you fall into, for they are all about the same, whether hospitals, nursing homes or even families Christians or non-Christians.  Only the Lord has infallible love and mercies.  And if you have ever made a mistake God forbid if man has any hand in your correction.  David sinned and correction was coming. but his correction would have restoration with mercy.

1Ch 21:9 And the LORD spake unto Gad, David's seer, saying,10 Go and tell David, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things: choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.  11 So Gad came to David, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Choose thee  12 Either three years' famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee; or else three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel. Now therefore advise thyself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me. 13 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man.

David had sinned and his sin was he put his trust in his men.  For the scripture say (Jer. 17:7  Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.)

David had his men counted as to see who all he could count on.  This displeased the Lord. Thus the Lord sent Gad the prophet to not only rebuke David but to let him know that correction was coming way too. The Lord knows how to correct his children when they take their eyes off of him and put their hope and faith in flesh.  Remember this that the Lord is not correcting us for his own good pleasure,  but rather to spare us of many piercing arrows of hurts.  I know in my own life that much of my own pain and sorrows have came to me when I have taken my eyes off of my Lord, who has always been my real source of everything.     I have also found lasting happiness is from the Lord.  (Ps 146:5  Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:)

As the leader of Israel David had to keep his faith in God for where God was taking him.  But what a God we serve to allow David to pick his own correction.  I know I personally asked the Lord in my younger days please correct me privately and the Lord has heard my cry.  Well David was given three different corrections.  He must choose one.  Experience had taught him that human passion and vengeance had no bounds, whereas our wise and gracious Father in heaven knows the kind, and regulates the extent, of chastisement which every one needs.  (Pr 12:10  A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.)  If a man has a heart after God he wont even hurt his animal, but when you are dealing with a wicked man even when he thinks he is being merciful it will be cruel.)

David in his honor I might say chose the one that he could not escape with his title and money. If he had chosen war, his personal safety was in no danger, as there was an ordinance preventing him from going to battle; and in famine, his wealth would have secured his and his family's support; but all were equally exposed to the pestilence.   But also the correction he chose was in the hands of a merciful God not man.  David most likely remember that with Moses who broke all the commandments of the Lord  God that he had written with his own finger had mercy on Moses.  For when Moses had to climb up the mountain again for the commandments of God he was given mercy not judgment.

(Ex 34:6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, 7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.)   And David himself declared in the Psalms (Ps 86:5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. 6 Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. 7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.)  And even though the correction came, listen to the mercy of our Lord.  ( 15 And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite. )  And out of God mercy God gave David away out (1Ch 21:26 And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering. 1Ch 21:27 And the LORD commanded the angel; and he put up his sword again into the sheath thereof.)   So even in God's correction he is so merciful and kind.  (La 3:32 But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.)   Oh, how I love this wonderful Holy God who takes care of me and I am written in the palm of his nail print hand.
